Coleman Dixon, President
A true native of Mississippi, Coleman has lived everywhere from the coast of Mississippi to the dreaded city of Oxford. He currently resides in the bustling city of Petal, MS. Coleman is a junior and will be earning a degree in Kinesiology during his time at MSU. He served as the pledge class secretary for the Lambda pledge class in the fall of 2014. He has since upgraded. Coleman is actively involved with the college ministry at CrossPoint Baptist Church in Starkville. Between class and sleep, Coleman devotes his spare time to intramural sports and his job as a houseboy for Phi Mu. He plans to graduate in the spring of 2018.
Matt Gaydon, Vice President
Matt is a sophomore majoring in Mathematics with an Economics minor from Colorado Springs, Colorado. Matt pledged BYX in the Fall of 2015 as a member of the Nu Class. Before serving as Vice President, he was a member of pledge team in 2016. Outside of BYX, Matt serves as an MSU
Roadrunner and New Maroon Camp counselor. In his free time, Matt loves playing golf, snowboarding in the winter, and having his life span shortened by Mississippi State athletics and the 2016 Denver Broncos. He plans to graduate in the Spring of 2019.
Matthew Murphy, Secretary
Matthew is a sophomore from Grenada, MS studying Architecture. After his graduation from Grenada High School, he joined Beta Upsilon Chi in the Fall of 2015 as a freshman. Before being selected as Secretary of BYX, Matthew served as T-Shirt Chairman, Cell Group Leader, and member of the Island Party committee for the fraternity. He has also been involved with a number of other student organizations, including the Shackouls Honors College Provost Scholar Program, Freshman Council, MSU Fashion Board, the School of Architecture Director’s Council, Dance Marathon, and the National Organization for Minority Architecture Students (NOMAS). Matthew also enjoys working as a show designer for the award-winning “Visions” show choir from Grenada High School. He plans to graduate in the Spring of 2020.
Michael Groves, Treasurer
Michael is a Sophomore Accounting major from Madison, Mississippi. After graduating from Madison Central High School, he joined Beta Upsilon Chi in the fall of 2015. Michael served as a Pledge Deputy for the 2016 calendar year as well as a cell group leader. Outside of BYX, he is a student worker in the Adkerson School of Accountancy office. He is also a member of Beta Alpha Psi Accounting honors society and an involved member of RUF. Michael plans to graduate in the spring of 2019.
Jackson Scott, Chaplain
Jackson is an undergraduate Software Engineering student atMississippi State. His non-academic interests include things such as dailyexercise, hanging out with friends, and computer technology. When he graduates,Jackson hopes to work to the United States government in official capacity as asecurity analyst in computer forensics. Jackson enjoys being the chaplain of MSU-BYX, and he hasalways been passionate about volunteering for positions that relate tovocational ministry. He has also considered attending seminary aftergraduation. Jackson is excited to help facilitate the fellowship and spiritualdirection here at Mississippi State.
Jack Burton, Recruitment Coordinator
Jack Burton is a Junior at Mississippi State University with aspirations of earning an degree in Nutrition and then later becoming a licensed Dietician. Jack is a native of Starkville, MS and graduated from Starkville Academy. Jack served as the Social Chair in 2015, the Rush Week Chair in 2016, and is now currently serving as a Cell Group Leader and Recruitment Coordinator. Over his time at MSU, Jack has also served in the Student Association as a Senator and as the Co-Director of Freshman Council.
Will Henke, Pledge Captain
Will is a sophomore Civil Engineering major from Franklin, TN. After graduating from Centennial High School in 2015, he joined Beta Upsilon Chi in the Fall of 2015 during his freshman year. Within the chapter, Will served on pledge team throughout 2016 before stepping into the role of Pledge Captain at the beginning of 2017. At Mississippi State, he is a member of the Shackoul's Honors College, served as a New Maroon Camp counselor, is active in RUF, and works as a Roadrunner in the Office of Admissions. In his free time, Will loves playing soccer on Sunday afternoons and eating pepperoni and cheese calzones from Stromboli's. He volunteers as a mentor at the Boys & Girls Club and plans to graduate in the Spring of 2019.
